Welcome to Goose Pond Homestead located in Poynette, WI.  We are Telo and Travis, the muggle caretakers of our homestead.  We have chosen this way of life because we value and enjoy being self-sufficient, especially when it comes to providing food for our family. 

 

THE BEGINNING OF OUR SMALL BUESINESS:  Throughout the years, as we raised more chickens and grew more crops, we began to have an abundance of food. So much so that we couldn't eat or preserve it all with just the two of us. As we shared our bounty with friends and family we started thinking about having a little roadside stand. To ease into this new endeavor we began by placing a cooler at the side of our road and filled it with fresh chicken eggs, an empty money jar and a sign explaining our honor-system. It was a fun and successful start and the money we earned went right back to spoiling our little cluckers.
 

After one year of selling eggs we were ready to offer our fresh produce and homemade goods. The following spring, which coincidentally happened to be the beginning of the COVID Pandemic, we built our current Farm Stand using materials found on our homestead. At that time, the state of the world was tragic and scary for all; however, our Farm Stand brought a little more joy and peace to our family and visitors. It's been seven years since our Farm Stand opened and each year has been wonderfully unique and successful.
